Following his last series of dream-state evoking packs (Memory Palace, Atlas Dreams, and Late Night Nostalgia), Splice Originals creator Ben Bromley presents a set of 50 new Astra employing the same textural and modulation-heavy approach used in his earlier sound-designed packs such as Serum Fire, Orchestral Serum, and Fire + Ice for Astra.

This pack explores the hazier, dreamier possibilities of Astra with 25 compositions complemented by modulating electric guitars and bass, choral vocals, and drum loops built using curated Beatmaker kits with samples from his previous releases.

These sounds were inspired by early dream pop artists including the gauzy sounds of the Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, and The Cure with a through-line to the genre’s reimagining in the 2010s by indie artists such as Beach House, Com Truise, and Animal Collective crossed with a future-leaning aspect inspired by electronic artists such as Caribou, Machinedrum, and Oneohtrix Point Never.
